Rhubarb-Centered Therapy for Intraductal Papillary Mucinous Neoplasm (IPMN): A Case Series and Integrative Medicine Exploration
Abstract
Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN) is an increasingly recognized pancreatic cystic tumor with variable malignant potential. Surgical resection remains the standard treatment for high-risk cases, whereas low-risk patients are typically managed with surveillance. This study presents two clinical cases treated with a rhubarb-centered therapeutic strategy. Both patients demonstrated symptomatic improvement and stable imaging findings. These results suggest potential clinical value; however, further studies are required to validate efficacy and safety.
